In January-November 2018, the market share of the Android operating system (OS) in Azerbaijan decreased by 14.6 percent, Trend reports citing Global Stats Dec. 15.
Android is the most popular operating system in Azerbaijan, which as of Dec. 1, 2018, ranks first in the country's OS market with a share of almost 41.4 percent, which is 17.4 percent less than in January-November last year.
According to Global Stats, in the eleven months of 2018, the market share of Microsoft Windows OS in Azerbaijan decreased 7.4 percent. Microsoft products rank second in the OS market with a share of 33.7 percent. Compared to the end of November 2017, the share of Windows OS in the Azerbaijani market decreased by 3 percent.
The third position is taken by less known operating systems with a market share of 13.3 percent. Their market share in January-November 2018 increased by over 6.2 times, and compared to the same period last year by 6.4 times.
These OS are followed by iOS (6.87 percent), OS X (2.83 percent), Linux (0.56 percent), Series 40 (0.55 percent), etc.
