Increase of online public services use observed in Kazakhstan

The number of public services implemented via electronic government portal egov.kz exceeded 23.5 million services in Kazakhstan in 1H2019, which is 182 percent more than during the same period of last year, said Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Ablaikhan Ospanov, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.

“Our government is implementing systemic work to increase the accessibility of the public services, to simplify the process of dialogue between a citizen and the state, and to strengthen inter-agency cooperation. Thus, the automatization of state services is among priorities in the ministry’s work and according to the approved plan, 80 percent of the public services are to be transferred to electronic form,” Ospanov said.

Furthermore, according to the statistics, @EgovKzBot in Telegram app grows more and more popular. The number of services received via this bot amounted to 676,000 services in 1H2019, which saved citizens a lot of time. Currently, the Telegram bot provides access to 25 types of most popular services.

In addition, Kazakhs started using mGov mobile application more. During 1H2019, the citizens used 2.3 million public services via this application, which provides access to 77 services.

Vice minister also stated that there are plans to release updated version of mGov app in August 2019.
