The revenues of Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos OJSC from export of satellite and telecommunication services reached $19.1 million in the first five months of 2020, which is 19 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
According to the report, the income of Azercosmos from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to 90 percent of its total income.
From January through May 2020, the company provided services to 26 countries, including the UK, the US, France, Malaysia and the UAE.
In May 2020, Azercosmos OJSC exported the services to 16 countries in the amount of $2.4 million, said the company.
Azercosmos OJSC operates two communication satellites - Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, as well as the Azersky low-orbit satellite.
In 2019, the company's revenue from satellite and telecommunication services exports amounted to $43.4 million, which is 70 percent more compared to 2018.
