BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 4

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

The president of Uzbekistan approved the second stage of digitalization program for the activities of the judiciary in 2020-2023, Trend reports citing Norma.uz information and legal portal.

In 2021 court sessions in all courts will be recorded at the request of the parties and with the consent of the presiding judge. The automatic distribution of cases between judges in the courts of appeal and cassation will be introduced. All participants will be notified of the time and place of the court session via free SMS messages.

In 2022 court decisions will be submitted to the parties online, at their request - in paper form. About 10 interactive services to make the judiciary more convenient, including for citizens and businesses to achieve justice will be introduced.

Starting from January 1, 2023, court cases are submitted to the state archive in electronic form.

The information system of the Supreme Court will gradually connect 28 state bodies and organizations (including the Virtual Reception of the President and the Reception of the Prime Minister) which will allow courts and other departments to exchange information and documents directly, without inconveniencing citizens.

Also, the opportunities for participation in court sessions via videoconferencing will be expanded. By the end of this year, an appropriate mobile application for citizens and special equipped rooms in penal institutions should appear.

Development, provision of information and cybersecurity of information systems, which are planned to be introduced into the judicial system, will be carried out by Unicon.uz - Center for Scientific, Technical and Marketing Research and the enterprises that are part of its organizational structure.
