Azerbaijan is working on creating national anti-plagiarism system, a source in the Institute of Information Technologies of the country’s National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told Trend.
According to the source, the system’s concept has already been prepared.
“We studied the work of the anti-plagiarism system and have already begun to elaborate our own anti-plagiarism service. Researches are also underway on intellectual analysis of data (digital object identifier (DOI)),” the source said. “As part of the activities, the CrossRef non-profit organization and the international DOI fund provided the institute with extensive information about the identifier of digital objects.”
Besides, the source noted that the institute has studied methods of combating plagiarism, including anti-plagiarism software, analysis by key indicators.
Concerning the topic of international cooperation, the source noted that the institute is working jointly with Exlibris (an Israeli software development company) to improve the information system of the Alefino library.
