Azerbaijan sees decline in number of unique cyber-incidents in 2021

The number of unique cyber-incidents in Azerbaijan decreased in 2021, Trend reports citing the report of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Security Service of Azerbaijan.

According to the report, this figure amounted to 3,977, down by 20.3 percent on annual basis.

Besides, last year, nearly 95.6 percent of the total number of requests were considered and satisfied. Based on the information security audit carried out by the CERT, in 2021, 205 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant structures, which is 16 percent less than in 2020 (244).

According to CERT data, 61 domains and 144 sub-domains were registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the Internet last year, while in 2020 these indicators amounted to 50 and 155, respectively.

In the Azerbaijani segment of the Internet, 45 domains and 107 sub-domains were registered in 2019.
