BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Enterprise Azerbaijan is implementing five new projects that are going to contribute to development of Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector and as small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Head of the Enterprise Azerbaijan of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Matanat Musayeva told Trend.
According to her, in 2022, the number of innovative projects submitted to the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal was 59, of which 38 were startups and 10 were ideas. Out of the total number of projects, 48 were selected and placed on the portal.
"The projects were presented to investors. Then, 12 of them received support in finding investments, and eight in entering foreign markets," Musayeva said.
She also added that all the projects registered in the portal also got admitted to various contests: "Thus, 19 projects won local contests, whereas 8 projects were given the first place in the international ones".
"Two international cooperation agreements were also reached. Currently, the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal is implementing five new projects that will contribute to the development of the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises," she added.
Enterprise Azerbaijan, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, was established on September 19, 2018, following the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev "On additional measures to support competitive local production in the non-oil sector". The purpose of the EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal is to increase the investment attractiveness of the country and increase access to alternative sources of financing for economic development.
