Iran to hold tender for investment in Kazakh copper mine

Iran’s Kavand Nahan Zamin Co. (KNZ) intends to hold an international tender for sale and/or investment in the Borley copper mine in Kazakhstan.

The mine is located in Kazakhstan with reserve of 5.8 million tons of oxide ore; mean grade of 0.35 percent copper and 194 million tons of sulfur ore with mean grade of 0.37 percent copper.

Bidders with mining or copper processing background, and financial potentials, are invited to announce their readiness in writing no later than March 14, 2018.

Kavand Nahan Zamin owns 80 percent participatory interest in the company that owns Subsoil Usage Right of the Borly mine and 20 percent belongs to Kazakh partner.

For purchase of the share in the company and/ or project implementation in the forms of BOT, BOO, Buy-back submit following documents to 1th floor, No. 49, Haghtalab Gharbi Street, Saadatabad, Tehran, Iran:

1-Latest copy of company’s charter and registration documents (codes, or any other applicable referrals in the country of registration)

2-A brief description of company’s financial capabilities and references

3-A brief description of company’s mining or copper processing background with global involvements.
