Uzbekistan establishes co-op with largest airline company of Belarus

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

Tashkent International Airport has signed an agreement on servicing the aircraft of the Belarusian Belavia airline, Trend reports with the reference to Uzbekistan Airports.

"Flights of the Belavia airline on Minsk-Tashkent-Minsk route with a frequency of two times a week are scheduled to begin after the improvement of the epidemiological situation associated with the spread of coronavirus," the report says.

Belavia airline is the largest air carrier of Belarus, established in 1996. Since 1997 it has been a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), since 2010 - a member of the Association of European Regional Airlines (ERA).

It is based at the Minsk National Airport and operates regular flights to more than 50 airports in Europe, CIS and Asia. It has 42 commercial agreements with foreign partner airlines.

The air fleet of Belavia consists of 28 modern Western-made aircraft by Boeing and Embraer.
