Uzbekistan Airways will acquire another Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in March 2021 within the investment program for 2021-2023, Trend reports referring to kun.uz.

It was noted that the purchase of the airliner will cost $141.7 million, of which $107.1 million will be financed through loans allocated by the State Development Bank of China.

According to the information, the airline began commercial operation of the Dreamliners in September 2016, becoming the first Boeing 787 customer in Central Asia. There are already five such aircraft in the Uzbekistan Airways fleet.

In addition, at the end of last year, Uzbekistan Airways purchased a new Airbus A320 Neo with a capacity of 150 passenger seats. It was noted that the aircraft of this class are an improved version of narrow-body jet passenger aircraft.

It was reported that a brand new A320 Neo landed at Tashkent airport on December 31, 2020.

The contract for the supply of two A320 Neos was signed in 2017. The first Airbus A320 Neo arrived in Tashkent in March 2019. Then it was reported that the second A320 Neo would arrive in the first week of April 2019.
