Uzbekistan, Russia's Kazan consider launching direct flights

Representatives of Kazan and Uzbekistan discussed the possibility of launching direct flights between the countries, Trend reports with reference to Kazan media.

It is reported that a working visit to Kazan was paid by a delegation from Uzbekistan, during which governor of Tashkent Jakhongir Artikkhodzhaev, Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan Sherzod Khidoyatov and governor of Tashkent region Davron Khidoyatov met with the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin and discussed prospects for cooperation.

At present, Kazan's cooperation with Uzbekistan is mainly carried out within the framework of an agreement on friendship and partnership, signed in 1998 between the capital of Tatarstan (Russia) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

The representatives of Uzbek delegation studied the experience of the housing and communal services system, urban planning, examined the objects of the social and infrastructural sphere of Kazan, and showed interest in the work of public transport.

Also, representatives of Uzbekistan shared the first results of work based on the experience of Kazan.

In addition, representatives of Kazan and Uzbekistan discussed cooperation in the tourism sector, in particular, the possibility of launching direct flights between the countries.
