BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by about 0.27 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 156,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 12th month. So, 121,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 34,900 tons were unloaded.
About 116,000 tons of cargo were exported and 8,470 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the 12th month.
"Furthermore, 25,900 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit. Also, 5,080 tons of cargo were loaded and 127 tons were unloaded for cabotage during the reporting month," the statistics said.
As well, 164 tons of cargo were loaded and 220 tons were unloaded in this port for other purposes.
In general, 76,100 tons of essential products, 3 tons of metal products, 47,700 tons of construction and mining materials, 27,500 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 2,530 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 12th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 1,130 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 273 tons of small and assorted products and 742 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.
About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month preceding the Iranian year.
