BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. The volume of oil and non-oil products loaded and unloaded at the ports of Qeshm Island in Iran’s Hormozgan Province amounted to about 4.23 million tons, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), Director of Iran’s Qeshm Ports and Maritime Department Ali Ashtari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

According to him, 2.06 million tons of products were loaded and 2.16 million tons were unloaded at ports of Qeshm Island in 7 months.

“Of the total cargo loaded and unloaded at ports of Qeshm Island, about 3.78 million tons were non-oil products and 455,000 tons were crude oil and oil products,” Ashtari said.

The director also noted that, in total, 69,100 tons of products were imported and 250,000 tons were exported through Qeshm ports, as well as, 3.89 million tons of products were transported as cabotage.

In general, there are 12 ports operating on Qeshm Island of Iran's Hormozgan Province.
