BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. The volume of cargo transported by trucks from Iran’s Qazvin Province to other provinces of the country increased by 5.9 percent during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of the Qazvin Province Road and Transport Department Reza Pordel said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The official noted that more than 10 million tons of cargo were transported from Iran’s Qazvin Province in 11 months.
Pardel added that the mentioned volume of cargo was transported by 682,824 trucks.
According to him, mining minerals, iron products, fittings, various soft drinks, and detergents were the main transported goods from the province for the reporting period.
In total, there are 13,905 trucks operating in Iran’s Qazvin Province.
Meanwhile, overall 11 million tons of cargo were transported from Iran’s Qazvin Province in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
