The working groups of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will meet on Dec. 25 to discuss the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said in a statement.

After his meeting with the Uzbek president, Jeenbekov said that the countries will work together on the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. Also, there are plans for the development of road transport and regular passenger routes.

"Already today we see beginning of the practical implementation of the agreements on the establishment of joint ventures and the establishment of production lines," Jeenbekov said.

The heads of state emphasized that the rapid construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which would enhance the attractiveness and the opening of the transit potential of Central Asia, fully meets the fundamental interests of the countries of the region.

The China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan railway is expected to open access for supplies of goods to the markets of Western Asia and the Middle East.

Jeenbekov arrived on an official visit to Uzbekistan on Dec.13. on the same day, he met with his Uzbek colleague in a narrow and expanded format. The parties signed a package of documents.
