Belarusian President praises Belarus, Kazakhstan integration efforts

Belarus and Kazakhstan are actively cooperating in integration organizations, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Smirnov who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Belarus, BelTA has learnt.

The President emphasized that Belarus and Kazakhstan are members of the most economically integrated organization and the military and political organization.

Kazakh Ambassador Anatoly Smirnov in turn said that Kazakhstan would intensify trade and economic cooperation with Belarus.

According to Smirnov, the relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan have advanced significantly across all areas, especially in trade and economy over last years.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan also underlined that both states actively develop contacts in the humanitarian area, implement a cultural cooperation program.

In terms of export, Kazakhstan is third largest partner of the Republic of Belarus among CIS countries (after Russia and Ukraine). Belarus considers Kazakhstan as a foothold for building up export to Central Asia countries.
