Large fire hit the largest market place Bekzhan in Kazakh city of Shymkent on Friday, Kazinform reported.
No victims or injured people are reported.
The fire spread across an area of 4,000 square meters. The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. However, traders suggest that it could be arson.
A special commission was set up in the city which will determine amount of damage and cause of the fire.
Currently the market's venders are concerned about compensation. There were some riots in the market place, traders threw stones at the market office building.
A few days before the traders paid annual tax. Moreover, many venders got millions loans from banks to buy goods. However, the market administration promised to compensate the money.
