Identity of five of the eight killed in Aksai gorge Almaty region of Kazakhstan has been established, spokesman for Interior Department of Almaty region Kobeyhan Nurahmet told Trend on Tuesday.
"These are Irina Karpenko, born in 1959, V.Sinyakova, born in 1952, P. Zaharopulo, born in 1936, Antonina Karpyzina, born in 1938, and A. Guzeva, born in 1969," Nurahmet said.
He said the bodies of the victims show signs of violent death from stab wounds.
"Today, on the murder case that took place in Ili-Alatau National Park, Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty region can report that disturbing information came to the police on August 13 this year in the first half of the day," the spokesman said.
According to recent reports, 30 km from the Tausamaly village in the National Park in the forester's house and yard two dead bodies were found - a woman and a man. Also, 2 km from the crime scene bodies of another woman and a man were found, Nurahmet said.
"Then, the National Park staff reported that 25 km from the scene in a nearby farm house of a forester was burning. After localization of the fire two unidentified burnt bodies were found," Nurahmet added.
He said they didn't manage yet to inspect the house because of the collapse threat, and inspection of the scene is scheduled for today.
"Two cars were also found - Nissan Patrol and VAZ 21213. This morning the police at the bottom cordon found another body - a man of European nationality," he said.
Nurahmet said investigative teams of Interior Department of Almaty region, Karasai Police Department, Kamensky Police Department, the staff of the investigation department, Administrative Police Department of Interior Department, forensic experts, employees of prosecutor bodies and Emergency Department are working on the scene. The best employees of Interior Department of Almaty region are involved in the event, aimed at disclosing the crime. A criminal case on the second part of Article 96 of the Criminal Code of RK was brought. Several versions have been put forward that are being checked during the search operations.
