The Armed Forces of Kazakhstan introduced a new principle of staffing positions officers and soldiers under the contract, an announcement of the Ministry of National Defense shared on Thursday says.

The principle is the recruitment of professionally, morally, psychologically and physically best trained young people on a voluntary basis.

According to the report, in order to improve the system, the Ministry of Defense has developed the program of creating contract military service recruiting stations. 34 recruiting stations started functioning in Kazakhstan on March 1, 2013.

More than 300 reserve officers and about 280 contract servicemen have been selected by the recruiting stations during the first month of their functioning.

Working principle of the recruiting stations is conducting an individual interview with each citizen, expressed a desire to perform military service on the contract. Young people get broad information about types of the Armed Forces, service conditions in the various regions, the requirements for candidates, the procedure, the admission rules and military service performance.

It is planned to create recruiting stations in all cities and towns of Kazakhstan, the announcement says.
