Kazakhstan plans to legislatively tighten penalties for smoking in public places, the official account of Nur Otan Party in the social networks said.
Currently, the Majilis (lower house) of Kazakh parliament is working on a draft law on amendments and supplements to the Code of Kazakhstan on public health and heathcare system in which the innovation is to be introduced to toughen penalties for tobacco smoking in public places. In accordance with the bill, the range of areas where the smoking is planned to be banned will be expanded.
