President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has appointed Yerzhan Kazykhanov as the country's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Kazakh president's official website said on Sept.17.
Kazykhanov, who served as Kazakhstan's foreign minister from 2011 to 2012, replaced Kairat Abusseitov at this post and the latter was appointed Kazakhstan's ambassador to Norway replacing Askar Tazhiyev.
Abusseitov has also been dismissed from the post of ambassador to Ireland and Iceland.
