Nazarbayev, Kuchma mull situation in Ukraine

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Ukrainian ex-president, Leonid Kuchma discussed the current situation in Ukraine, according to a message from the Kazakh president's press service.
"During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine," the president's press service said Oct. 7.
At the meeting, Nazarbayev said the relations of Kazakhstan and Ukraine are traditionally friendly, and evolve in line with the mutually beneficial partnership.
Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, according to the message.
Kuchma, for his part, noted the importance of further strengthening of Kazakh-Ukrainian relations in various fields.
He also expressed hope that the cooperation between the two countries will reach a new level.
