The changes in the Rules of registration of invitations and issuance of visas come into force from July 1, 2018 (joint decree No. 1100 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Internal Affairs dated November 28, 2016), the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan announced.
"The period of submission of invitations for foreigners to enter the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been reduced. It is necessary to submit an invitation no later than 5 working days before the expected date of entry of the visa recipient into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Previously, this period was 14 days. The address of the place of residence of the foreigner in Kazakhstan and the route of his travel shall be indicated in the invitation", the message reads.
The presence of a visa of Kazakhstan exempts a foreigner from the need to register with the migration authorities, as the place of his residence and the route of movement are already specified in the invitation.
The period of submission of documents for the extension of a valid visa has also been changed. Applications shall be submitted no earlier than thirty working days and no later than five working days before the end of the period of the valid visa.
