Head of Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry Magzum Mirzagaliyev spoke about the oil production profile of the Mangistau region at the government’s meeting, Trend reports citing the government.
"The ministry has prepared a direction of oil production in the Mangystau region. According to it, oil production will be stable over the next five years. However, there may be a slight decline in production from 2025," Mirzagaliyev said.
At the same time, the minister stressed that the Mangistau region has significant potential for the growth of both oil and gas production.
"Thanks to the launch of new offshore projects, namely the development of the Khazar and Kalamkas-Sea fields, from 2028 it’s planned to increase oil production to 19.5 million tons," he concluded.
