Kazakhstan offers Iranian airlines to resume flights

Kazakhstan offered the Iranian airlines to resume flights between Kazakhstan and Iran as part of the intensification of the trade and economic cooperation, Trend reports citing the the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The 17th meeting of the Kazakh-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Javad Sadati Nejad was held in Tehran.

One of the issues on the agenda of the 17th meeting of the Kazakh-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission was the development of an effective and safe mechanism for mutual settlements between the two countries.

The sides agreed to consider the possibility of establishing a joint committee on banking cooperation to determine the corresponding methods and tools to facilitate trade between the two countries.

Moreover, the sides also agreed to consider the possibilities of using the local currencies of the two countries for settlements upon bilateral trade funds.

The Export Guarantee Fund of Iran and the KazakhExport Insurance Company expressed the readiness to facilitate the trade between the two countries through barter transactions.

The sides agreed to hold the 17th meeting of the Joint Commission of the two countries in 2023 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
