BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. A number of private companies in Kazakhstan will become state property as part of de-monopolization, Finance Minister Yerulan Zhamaubayev told reporters on the sidelines of the Mazhilis [lower house of the parliament] on April 20 in Nur-Sultan city, Trend reports via the Kazakh media.
Zhamaubayev made the remark by answering the question regarding the execution of the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to combat oligopolies and monopolies.
He said that the work on the companies’ nationalization will be commenced in the near future.
“Totally seven-eight companies will be transferred to the state and further to the relevant ministries or to the Samruk-Kazyna fund,” added the minister.
