Kazakhstan reveals details on exports to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. Value of Kazakhstan’s exports to Azerbaijan has totaled $375.3 million in 2022, increasing by 30 percent, compared to 2021, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic planning and reforms of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The main exported products from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan within this time period were crude oil, with an increase of $74.9 million, compared to 2021, wheat (an increase of 3.7 times or $69.9 million), and petroleum product (an increase of 3.1 times or $56.8 million.)

Meanwhile, drop in Kazakh export to Azerbaijan was registered in products such as suppliers of floating special purpose equipment (decrease of 92.7 percent or $120.7 million) and railway electric locomotives (decrease of 60.8 percent or $21.6 million.)

According to the agency, Kazakhstan main exports destinations from December through November 2022 have been Italy (16.8 percent of total exports), China (15.7 percent), and Russia (10 percent). Exports from Kazakhstan in the reporting period have reached $77.6 billion, which is a 42.4-percent growth year-on-year.

At the same time, Kazakhstan has mainly imported goods from Russia (35.5 percent of the total imports), China (22 percent) and Germany (4.2 percent) in that period, with the value of imports made up $44.6 billion, growing by 20.1 percent, compared to 2021.
