ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 12. Kazakhstan's Air Astana airline group, which consists of Air Astana and FlyArystan brands, carried 7.4 million passengers in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the company's financial report for 2022, out of the total number of passengers, 4.1 million were carried by Air Astana Airlines, while 3.2 million by FlyArystan low-cost airline.
Furthermore, the group's passenger traffic on domestic and international routes increased by 11 percent compared to 2021 and by 44 percent compared to the pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
The number of passengers carried on international flights by the Air Astana brand increased by 42 percent compared to 2021, from 1.16 million to 1.65 million people. However, this figure remains below the level of 2019, when the number of passengers transported on international routes was 2.3 million people. Passenger traffic on domestic routes increased by 3 percent, reaching a record high of 2.46 million people.
Kazakhstan's Air Astana Group (Air Astana and FlyArystan brands) is one of the largest airlines in Eurasia in terms of revenue and aircraft fleet size. The group carries out domestic and international flights to 39 destinations from its hubs in Almaty and Astana.
