ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 18. The Moscow Exchange begins to accept the Kazakh tenge as collateral for transactions on the foreign exchange and derivatives markets, as well as on the precious metals market from September 18, 2023, Trend reports.

As noted in the Moscow Exchange, this will allow professional market participants and their clients to fund their own operations more flexibly and increase the efficiency of using available financial resources, which will contribute to the growth of trading activity.

Thus, now participants can use Russian rubles, Chinese yuan and Kazakh tenge, as well as gold and silver as collateral for partially secured transactions in all markets.

The Moscow Exchange Group operates Russia's largest multifunctional exchange platform for trading stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies, money market instruments and commodities. The Group includes a central depository (Non-bank credit organization "National Settlement Depository" JSC), as well as a clearing center (Non-bank credit organization - central counterparty "National Clearing Center" JSC).
