ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 12. Exports of fruits from Kazakhstan amounted to 34,900 tons, which is 12.7 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports.
Kazakhstan’s income from the export amounted to $11.2 million.
Sales of apples abroad have increased by 21 times (7,000 tons), with main destinations being Russia - 6,000 tons (+48.4 times) and Uzbekistan - 646.6 tons (+3.7 times).
Exports of citrus fruits increased by 43.9 percent, to 2,100 tons. Deliveries of lemons, tangerines and grapefruits also accounted for Russia and Uzbekistan.
Some 30.9 percent more dates were exported from Kazakhstan (3,700 tons) to Russia, Türkiye and Tajikistan. Sales of melons also increased – by 22.4 percent, to 8,700 tons. The export destinations included Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Latvia.
In addition, the export of plums increased by 3.4 times (824.5 tons), apricots - by 2.8 times (1,300 tons), peaches – by 38.3 percent (376.6 tons). Russia purchased the entire volume of these fruits, as well as strawberries (15.8 tons).
At the same time, watermelon sales decreased by 3.2 times, to 3,400 tons. 1,700 tons were exported to Russia (-4.3 times), Belarus - 714.9 tons (-4 times), Mongolia - 940.8 tons (+26.9 percent) and Lithuania - 42.1 tons (+421 times).
The export of grapes also decreased - by 15.5 percent (1,300 tons), which were transported to Russia.
