Kazakhstan's KazTransOil put into operation additional oil storage tanks

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 27. Two newly built oil storage tanks were installed at the main oil pumping station named after B. Dzhumagaliev of Zhezkazgan oil pipeline department of KazTransOil JSC (a Kazakhstani oil pipeline firm), the company told Trend.

Each oil storage tank has a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters. As a result, the station's tank farm now has a total capacity of 120,000 cubic meters.

Previously, the second and last stage of connecting the tanks to the process pipeline had been accomplished. The first stage went into effect in October 2023.

The new tanks are outfitted with all of the equipment required for the safe and continuous operation of the main oil pumping station.

The main oil pumping station named after B. Dzhumagaliev of KazTransOil JSC's Zhezkazgan oil pipeline department is located at the 1,108th kilometer of the Pavlodar - Shymkent main oil pipeline and serves as the terminus of the Kumkol - Karakoin main oil pipeline.

Meanwhile, KazTransOil JSC is the national operator of Kazakhstan's primary oil pipeline. It is a subsidiary of KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas corporation).

KazTransOil JSC maintains a diverse network of key oil pipelines totaling 5,400 kilometers in length.
