ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 13. The AITAS company will build the largest poultry farm in Central Asia in the Zhambyl and Karasay districts of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
According to the company, commissioning of the first stage of the Almaty poultry farm "Zhetisu" is planned for 2027; the second stage will begin operation in 2029.
The design capacity of the poultry farm will be 240,000 tons of poultry meat per year. Due to the launch of the production facility, more than 7,000 jobs will be created in the region.
The total investment volume during the launch of two stages will be 270 billion tenge, or $600 million.
As part of the construction of the poultry farm, 384 poultry houses, a feed plant, an elevator for storing 30,000,000 tons of grain, an incubator, and other facilities will be built.
Currently, work is underway on a feasibility study of the facility, and it is planned to start developing a detailed design.
The General Director of AITAS Holding, Ruslan Ilnitsky said that the Almaty poultry farm will become one of the most technologically advanced and automated enterprises in the region and will ensure the country’s food security by reducing imports.
"The construction and launch of production will have a multiplier effect on the regional economy; this will increase employment among the population and develop related and local industries and services," he noted.
