ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 28. The Italian Eni's production of liquids in Kazakhstan amounted to 115 kbbl/d (kilobarrels per day) from January through December 2023, Trend reports.
According to Eni production results, in the same period in 2022, this figure was 88 kbbl/d.
In addition, liquid production in Kazakhstan in the fourth quarter amounted to 122 kbbl/d, which is 9.9 percent more than the same period in 2022 (111 kboe/d).
At the same time, production volume for the fourth quarter of 2023 increased compared to the third quarter. Thus, in the third quarter of 2023, production amounted to 105 kbbl/d.
Meanwhile, Eni's hydrocarbon production in 4Q2023 averaged 1.71 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d). This marked an increase of 6 percent year-on-year (1.6 boe/d in 4Q2022).
For the full 2023 fiscal year, Eni saw a slight increase of three percent in its hydrocarbon production to 1.66 million boe/d, compared to the 2022 fiscal year (1.61 boe/d).
Earlier, Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy, Almassadam Satkaliev, stated that the country's oil production would be around 90 million tons in 2023, despite early plans to generate 92–93 million tons.
According to him, about 18 million tons of oil produced in 2023 went to the domestic market. About 56 million tons were exported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
Moreover, the country plans to increase oil production in 2024 to 90.3 million tons.
