ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 15. Kazakhstan is ready to increase the volume of exports to Armenia almost sevenfold and increase it to $350 million, said President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan, Trend reports.

"We must take specific measures to expand the range of export-import goods. To do this, it is necessary to use the available opportunities as efficiently as possible. Kazakhstan is ready to increase the volume of exports to Armenia to $350 million," he said.

Tokayev noted the importance of intensifying cooperation in the fields of industry, construction, transport and logistics, agriculture, finance, innovation, tourism, and others, and also invited the Armenian side to implement a number of joint investment projects.

"This is especially relevant in today's difficult geopolitical and geoeconomic situation. Work in this direction will be carried out under the close supervision of the Intergovernmental Commission. In addition, we must intensify contact between business missions. This step will contribute to the speedy creation of the Business Council, strengthen ties between business representatives of the two countries, and improve investment relations," he said.

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Armenia in 2023 amounted to $53 million. The structure of trade turnover is dominated by exports to Armenia, worth $33.3 million. Kazakh imports from Armenia for the above period amounted to $19.7 million.
