BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Half of the tourists from Central Asia who visited Azerbaijan were from Kazakhstan, said the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Alim Bayel at the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan tourism forum today, Trend reports.
"According to 2023 statistics, half of the tourists from Central Asia who visited Azerbaijan were from Kazakhstan. Last year, 58,000 Kazakh tourists visited Azerbaijan. From January through June 2024, more than 38,000 Kazakh tourists visited Azerbaijan tourists," he emphasized.
The ambassador mentioned that, in general, in terms of the growth dynamics of the tourist flow to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan is in third place after China and India.
To note, the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan tourism forum is being held in the building of the Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan.
