Kazakh Permanent Representative to UN made a report on drug control problems

(KAZINFORM) - On behalf of CIS countries Kazakhstan Permanent Representative to UN Yerzhan Kazykhanov made a report on International drug control at the meeting of 3rd Committee of General Assembly.

In spite of attainments reached for recent years owing to joint activity of the governments and international community in anti-drug war the situation around illegal trtaffic of drugs remains extremely complicated, Kazakh Ambassador said.

CIS countries pin their hopes on creation of Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center which will be engaged in organization and coordination of joint counternarcotic actions in close interaction with UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

CIS countries will strive for getting rid of dope addiction related disasters, Yerzhan Kazykhanov emphasized in a conclusion, reports Trend.
