The fifth convocation of parliament has started its work in Kyrgyzstan. A solemn procedure of presentation of mandates and an oath the parliamentarians should take precede the first session. The Kyrgyz CEC Chairman Akylbek Sariyev presents the certificates and lapel badges to the parliamentarians, news agency "24.kg" reported.

He opened the first session of the Zhogorku Kenesh. According to Akylbek Sariyev, the delay of 30 days from the day of the parliamentary elections till the presentation of mandates has been justified.

"The Central Elections Commission arranged all this not intentionally. But those mistakes that were committed, technical mistakes, they first of all had to be corrected. And we did so. All the parties provided documents on time. Protraction occurred only with one political organization - Respublika. But the norm of replacement of registered parliamentarians, who quitted the list, was not specified in the law, therefore we had to do everything based on the Code on Elections, not on the Constitution, and bringing all the laws into compliance is the task of the parliament of the fifth convention," Akylbek Sariyev emphasized.

He also added Kyrgyzstan could save 25 million soms out of allocated 40 million at the parliamentary elections.
