The Government of Japan decided to give emergency grant aid in the amount of $350,093 thousand through the UN development programme for the support in holding the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Japan Embassy in the KRG reported, 24.kg writes.

Reportedly, the elections of the Kyrgyz President will be the first after political changes in April, 2010, and their successful holding has an extremely important meaning for the country's stability and democracy. "Japan supports the strengthening of the Kyrgyz statehood since the republic gained independence, and help in holding the elections is a step in this direction," told in the Embassy.
