Non-statuary relations with the battalion commander have been identified as the cause of the escape of 39 conscripts from military unit N702 of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry stationed in Bishkek, KirTAG reported on Monday referencing a relative of one of the soldiers.
"My grandson called me and said that last week the soldiers had strained relations with the battalion commander. He said they will only return after the dismissal of the commander" Bakyt Zhunushev, grandfather of soldier Amantay Kamalbekov said.
Zhunushev said that his grandson did not mention his whereabouts.
