ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 20. Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $31.2 billion from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
Citing the country's Bureau of National Statistics's data, this is 5.6 percent lower than the same period in 2023.
Exports totaled $18.5 billion (1.9 percent less in nominal terms than in the same period in 2023).
At the same time, imports fell by 10.6 percent to $12.7 billion.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover was $139.8 billion from January through December 2023, up 3.2 percent from 2022.
At the same time, exports totaled $78.6 billion (in nominal terms, 7 percent less than the same time in 2022), and imports grew by 20.1 percent, totaling $61.1 billion.
