The bodies of two pilots were found at the crash site of the U.S. Air Force's military KC-135 Stratotanker plane in Kyrgyzstan, a source in the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
KC-135 Stratotanker of the U.S. Air Force's transit center, located at the international airport "Manas" in Bishkek, crashed after the take-off in the mountain valley in Panfilov district of Kyrgyz Chui region on May 3, about 60 kilometers from the capital, and 10 kilometers from the border with Kazakhstan. There were three crew members on board. All of them were the U.S citizens.
"Rescuers have today found the body fragments at the crash site," the source said.
However, a Duty Officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has not confirmed the information officially.
"We do not have this information yet," he said.
The Kyrgyz forensic morgue also reported that the bodies of the dead pilots were not obtained yet.
The U.S air base, renamed later as the transit center, was established at the Manas international airport in Bishkek in December, 2001. According to the official data, there are around 1,500 U.S. servicemen and civilian personnel at the transit center involved in "Enduring Freedom" operation in Afghanistan.
