BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 9. Kyrgyzstan produced 3 million pairs of footwear in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The figure decreased by 1.6 times, compared to 4.9 million pairs in 2021.
During the period, the largest share of the footwear was manufactured in Osh region in the southwest of the country.

According to statistics, the value of Kyrgyzstan’s footwear and leather products amounted to 331.2 million soms ($3.7 million) in 2022, which is a decrease of 1.2 times, compared to 421 million soms ($4.8 million) in 2021.
Meanwhile, the value of Kyrgyzstan’s footwear and leather products totaled 14 million soms ($160,000) in January 2023, which is a decrease from 18 million soms ($205,902), compared to January 2022.
According to statistics, the total value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan reached 426 billion soms ($4.9 billion) in 2022, increasing by 14 percent, compared to 370 billion soms ($4 billion) in the same period in 2021.
