BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Kyrgyzstan exported 8,150 tons of precious metal ores and concentrates in January 2023, which is a decrease of 20 percent compared to 10,217 tons in January 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

As the volume of the exports decreased, the value, on the other hand, increased by 89 percent and amounted to $22 million compared to $11.9 million in January 2022.

Kyrgyzstan supplied ores and concentrates of precious metals to two countries - Kazakhstan and China in the reporting period of 2023, but only to Kazakhstan in January 2022.

The volume of exports to Kazakhstan reached 6,995 tons, which is a decrease of 31 percent over 10,217 tons in January 2022.

The value of the exports to Kazakhstan totaled $20 million, decreasing from to $11.9 million in January 2022.

Kyrgyzstan exported 1,154 tons of ores and concentrates of precious metals for $2 million to China in January 2023.

According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $834 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 20 percent, compared to $692 million in January 2022.

The exports from Kyrgyzstan in the corresponding period totaled $125 million, increasing by 11 percent compared to $111 million in January 2022.

The imports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $709 million, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to $581 million in January 2022.
