Kyrgyzstan's export of oil products to Türkiye drops

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 10. Kyrgyzstan exported 72,502 tons of oil products to Türkiye from January through October 2023, which is an 11.5-percent decrease compared to the same months in 2022 (81,906 tons), Trend reports.

Data from Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistical Committee reveals that the total value of these exports amounted to $46.057 million, which is a 15-percent decline compared to the period from January through October 2022, which stood at $54.138 million.

Türkiye emerged as the largest importer of oil products from Kyrgyzstan, accounting for 46.4 percent of the country’s total oil product exports.

In the list of countries receiving Kyrgyzstan's oil product exports, Uzbekistan secured the second spot, importing 51,041 tons valued at $14.340 million.

Following Uzbekistan, the UAE ranked third among the destinations for Kyrgyzstan's oil product exports, receiving 7,728 tons valued at $8.213 million.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 156,203 tons of oil products from January through October 2023, which is a 12.5-percent decrease compared to the same period in 2022, when it was 178,618 tons.

The value of the export amounted to $90.972 million for the ten-month duration, which is a 23-percent decrease compared to the corresponding months of 2022 ($118.356 million).

According to the Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistical Committee, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $516.8 million from January through October 2023, which is 1.3 percent higher than in the same months of 2022 ($510.371 million). Trade with Türkiye accounted for 4.2 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s total trade.
