Kyrgyzstan announces launch timeline for gold bullion production plant in Kara-Balta

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 7. Kyrgyzstan plans to launch a gold bullion production plant in the city of Kara-Balta, Chuy region, in August, Narynbek Satybaldiev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzaltyn Enterprise, said at a press conference, Trend reports.

Satybaldiev also revealed that the first tons of ore are expected to be extracted from the Mironovskoye copper-bismuth and gold deposits. These projects are part of the government’s plan to mark the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kirghiz autonomous region and to set up 100 new industrial facilities across the country.

Satybaldiyev highlighted the significant potential for mining and processing gold, antimony, copper, rare earth elements, tin, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, magnesium, and other ores within Kyrgyzstan.

The gold bullion plant in Kara-Balta, being constructed on a 1,500-square-meter site, will produce bullion domestically, whereas previously, these were manufactured abroad. The facility will also produce coins, commemorative medals, and orders using advanced technologies from Italy and Germany.

Kyrgyzaltyn is the largest domestic enterprise in Kyrgyzstan, specializing in the development of gold deposits. It was founded on October 15, 1992, with the aim of uniting enterprises in the mining industry of the country.
