Georgia's motor car exports to Tajikistan take dip

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 27. Georgia exported 120 motor cars to Tajikistan in January 2024, which is a decline of 57.3 percent compared to the same month in 2023 (281 cars), Trend reports.

As per data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), the total value of exports amounted to $2.107 million, a decrease of 20.4 percent from $2.650 million in January 2023. Motor cars constituted the majority of Georgian exports to Tajikistan in January 2024.

The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia totaled $2.942 million in January 2024, which is a 9.3 percent increase compared to January of the previous year ($2.691 million).

Exports from Georgia to Tajikistan amounted to $2.833 million in the first month of 2024, increasing by 8.9 percent compared to January 2023 ($2.691 million). Imports to Georgia from Tajikistan stood at $108,940 in January 2024. In the same month of the previous year, the trade between the two countries was solely comprised of Georgian exports.
