Turkmenistan and WIPO ink new deal on provision of services

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed an Agreement on the provision of services, Trend reports citing Business Turkmenistan Information Center.

The signing ceremony took place during an online meeting of the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mukhammetgeldi Serdarov with WIPO Director General Daren Tang.

As reported, the meeting was also attended by employees of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, Serdarov spoke about the work carried out in Turkmenistan on intellectual property and fruitful cooperation with WIPO.

The Turkmen minister noted the importance of signing an Agreement on the establishment of a Technology and Innovation Support Center in Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan became a full member of WIPO in 1991.
