BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Turkmenistan increased its manufacturing of food products from January through April 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
The plan for the production of vegetables in Turkmenistan in the specified period was exceeded by 38.1 percent, fruit and berry products by 1.7 percent, bread and bakery products by 5.1 percent, and meat products by 1.4 milk and dairy products by 0.8 percent.
Turkmenistan exceeded the investment development plan by 76.9 percent during the reporting period.
In the agro-industrial complex, production, the volume of work performed and services rendered increased by 12.5 percent compared to last year.
Agriculture is an integral part of Turkmenistan's economy. Work is being carried out to develop animal husbandry, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry.
The main types of crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
