BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. The enterprise of artistic carpet-making in the city of Bereket in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan manufactured 1,651 square meters of carpet products from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
The carpets woven at the enterprise totaled 2.4 million Turkmen manat ($685,700). The growth rate of production compared to the corresponding period last year amounted to 132 percent.
Currently, the company weaves carpets of various sizes to order for administrative and residential buildings.
Turkmenhaly State Association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool fleecy carpets from Turkmenistan to the world market.
The main activities of the association are the manufacture and sales of Turkmen carpets, as well as the conservation of hand carpet-making tradition.
