BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Turkmenistan has significantly increased production of electricity from January through March 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a government meeting held on April 15.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan for the manufacturing of products and the work done by the Ministry of Energy as a whole has been exceeded by 10.1 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that the growth rate of electricity production in the country as a whole was 1.7 percent.
Turkmenistan is actively integrating into the unified energy system of Central Asia. It is expected that by 2025 Turkmenistan will contribute to the construction of new power plants, transmission lines, modern transformer substations, and distribution facilities.
